Dylan’s Candy Bar tells us it recently added 5,000 square feet so that it now boasts a cocktail bar, a rock-candy aquarium, private party rooms, and a “falling-candy staircase.” According to Midtown Lunch, the new megaplex, which claims to be the largest candy store in the world, is doling out free ice-cream scoops today from noon to 2 p.m. (These giveaways are getting so frequent that someone should start a myopenbar.com for food.) Be warned, you may get roped into “watching and cheering on” some sort of Julia Allison publicity spectacle.
