Adam and Eve may not be sporting fig leaves and chowing on some produce, but in our version of the Garden of Eden there’s options ranging from pizza to pinot noir and a variety of beers on tap. In fact, there’s a lot on the menu at Harvard Gardens that makes us feel like we’re in paradise. Located on Cambridge Street in Beacon Hill, HG is mere steps from the Charles/MGH T stop and a stone’s throw from the TD Banknorth Garden. Translation: It’s the perfect watering hole to watch that Patriots/Sox/Celtics game, or to stop by after if you were lucky enough to attend. We’re huge fans of their personal pizzas, but the truffle parmesan fries are one of the best plates to share with a good friend and an even better cocktail.
Weekend mornings are the perfect chance to visit Harvard Gardens when the sun is up, because they serve a delicious brunch where you get quite the bang for your buck. But when the sun goes down, so do the lights in HG. The candles come out and leather booths are the perfect place to canoodle with someone special. However, we always find it fun to load up a booth with our girlfriends and munch on those parmesan truffle fries over their signature martini list. That way, there’s always plenty of laughter to go with the plenty of liquor that always seems to hover around our booth. What’s that you say? All this alcohol and rich food doesn’t sound so biblical? Well, that’s ok. It’s our Garden of Eden after all.
