For Serious Eats, Mike Nagrant gets sold on the awesomeness of store-bought Flossmoor Station beer.
We spent a large portion of our formative years living within easy rollerblading distance of the Flossmoor Station Brewery, but as we were significantly younger than the legal drinking age, we knew the joint more for its ice cream and its beer-cheddar soup (zomg) than for any sort of alcoholic element.
In fact, now that we think of it, we have quite possibly never had their beer. So this revelation that we can buy it in stores — instead of taking the long, arduous Metra trek out to Ho-Flo — is pretty great news.
