An Economic Stimulus Package For Restaurants? Well, Sort Of

MenuPages: Chicago wrote a post about a rumored pre-Thanksgiving Restaurant Week that would — get this — be national and born from a deal made between OpenTable and New York restaurateur Danny Meyer.

Well, it turns out that the whisperings are true, and OpenTable is having the “Appetite Stimulus Plan” November 17-21, 2008. The Restaurant Week is nationwide and the prices are the same old deal: $24 lunches/$35 dinners, with the list of participating Philadelphia restaurants here.

Seems like as good (and relatively low risk) a time as any to check out somewhere new, like Prive, or to just go for a reliable stand by. (After all, we’ve heard tell that the tough economic times cause people to seek comfort.)
