Heyo! We got so distracted by all the sexy sex-having sex in this week’s TOC that we nearly missed Mike Gebert’s writeup of a Restaurant To Be Saved: Amira’s Trio (3047 N Cicero Ave, 773 205 6200). It’s a real family place (the owner, Vicky Amria, seems to know everyone who walks in the door) and the Cuban food is all housemade and top-notch. It’s one of those “not fast food, but good food fast” places — one that, unlike so many of the others, actually lives up to the promise.
