This Little Piggy Squealed All The Way Home

Admittedly, it might seem strange that we would so highly recommend a pub known to sometimes be overrun with MassArt and Northeastern kids. It’s not that we hate on college bars; we’re just older, tastes change. But Mission Hill hotspot The Squealing Pig keeps us coming back every time we’re even remotely close by.

In addition to this dimly lit dive’s 50 foot bar, a huge selection of draft and bottled beers await you. Grab a pint and then grab a menu. We come for the food. Even sandwiches here are exciting. Toasties, as they’re known, come with all sorts of delicious combo fillings, like ham, pineapple, and pickles. Three kinds of fries - all hand cut and made to order - might be the most addictive bar food in town. Choose from plain, curly, or Tuscan, which comes drizzled in truffle oil. Pizzas come with toppings ranging from tropical salsa to Chorizo.

Additional perks include friendly, folksy bartenders and a regular lineup of Kung Fu/Heavy Metal Mondays, Trivia Wednesdays, and live music on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
