The Third Season

If we’re going chronologically, is autumn the third season? We’re not sure, but we know we dig the Four Seasons and their comfortably nestled restaurant gem, Aujourd’hui. Overlooking the Public Garden, there are few such lovely spots downtown, with class and style practically oozing onto the street below.

A mix of old and new greets you at Aujourd’hui: it’s an updated feel to a mostly classic Parisian dining experience. The waitstaff is notoriously professional without hovering, kind without overdoing it. The wine list alone can take time to process, but that’s only because of the great offerings, to say nothing of what comes next.

For newbies, we recommend the tasting menu, which changes frequently, along with the expertly selected wine pairings. Sunday brunch also comes highly recommended, with a fantastic seafood buffet sure to please the biggest shellfish and lobster snob among us. For large gatherings, consider booking private dining rooms Le Soir or The Boardroom, elegant and quietly removed from the rest of the larger dining area. Privacy has a price, no? And if you’re among the crowd with well-behaved youngsters who love the finer things in life, not to worry. The chef has long been preparing smaller portions for the smaller folks.

Whether you’re a guest in the hotel or a hungry passerby with a few extra dollars in your pocket, down to the smallest details, Aujourd’hui does not disappoint.
