Taste The Flavor

If there’s one aspect of the holidays we always choose to revel in, it’s the constant wave of parties that seem to inundate calendars during the season. Honestly, we’ll take any excuse to buy a new dress and overuse eye shadow. But when parties come into play that are centered around food, we’re even more intrigued. That’s why we’re psyched for this year’s Flavors of Fall, being held November 17th at the Charles Hotel’s Regattabar. Some of Cambridge’s most famous and delicious restaurants will come together to host a single party where the food that is produced during fall’s bountiful harvest is treated like pieces of art.

Guests can sample from the fall menus of restaurants such as Rialto, Henrietta’s Table, UpStairs on the Square, dante, and many others. While visiting each of those restaurants would put you back multiple paychecks (or rent deposits), in this one evening you can sample all of them while listening to to jazz played by the Rollo Tomasi Quartet. And while you’re packing away hors d’oeuvres and glasses of wine, you can eat, drink and really be merry because this event benefits a good cause. In this case, it’s Citysprouts, the Cambridge-based organization that teaches the public school communities how to introduce gardening and a sustainable environment into the lives of today’s students. Just click the bottom link to get more information and to buy tickets for this worthwhile and inevitably fun event. So get ready to indulge in food, wine, and desserts that will really get you in the holiday spirit. We’ll see you there. Just look for the girl wearing way too much eye shadow.
