Trey Popp goes to Table 31, and has a great deal more to say, both in terms of length and praise, about the space than the food. The steakhouse opened a few months ago, but it sounds like there is still a lot of stuff that still needs to be ironed out over there.

• There’s also a review of Root, which David Snyder finds to be a bit of a rollercoaster of an experience: when it’s good, it’s very good, but often, the chef’s “boldness” goes too far.

• If you are grasping for weekend plans, The Week In Eats might be a good launching point. For one, South Jersey Restaurant Week is about to start, and for two, Sunday is Biketoberfest! Oh yeah, and that that little Vetri-Garces dinner is on Tuesday…
