Aquitaine Hunger Force

All the reasons, French cuisine aside, that we flock to Aquitaine? Get ready for a list as long as Tremont Street.

Prix fixe brunch on Saturdays: omelets, caramelized onion home fries, and fresh OJ in addition to the regularly amazing breakfast offerings are enough to get us out of bed before noon. Other suggestions of eggs benedict, apple smoked bacon, or their cheddar and Gruyere mac & cheese will make any brunch lover happy.

At dinner, be prepared for some of the best scallops in town. Second only to the chicken and mussel appetizer, chef Seth Woods has thought of a little something for every diner. Ask your server about the Plat Du Jour, though I doubt they’ll forget to mention the daily special. Service at Aquitaine, like so many other fine French establishments around town, is classy and friendly without being too uptight. An affordable wine list rounds out the experience, though do try to grab a window seat. If you’re one of the lucky couples who scores one, push back those fluffy organza curtains and get ready to people watch.
