Sun-Times Food: We Continue To Question The Point Of This Section’s Existence

Besides the trials and tribulations of Denise O’Neal, there is, you know, other content in today’s S-T food section! Let’s bang this baby out:

There’s a rooftop farm at Uncommon Ground on Devon. It’s neat! The environment is our friend! Actually this sounds incredibly cool and we are a big fan.

• We made a William Carlos Williams joke in a post a few weeks ago. We should have saved that for today’s “20 ways to use a can of tuna” article. Not included: doorstop, street hockey puck, discus stand-in, fight-with-roommate projectile.

• Today’s winner for insane headline writing: “Take a hint from squirrels; eat nuts daily.” But we suppose there is a point here.

• This piece on how to grill boneless, skinless chicken breasts (hint: it is REALLY REALLY EASY) includes the phrase “poobah of poultry.”

• Remember when the Tribune covered the upcoming Night of 1000 Clean Plates fundraiser? Well, the Sun-Times has decided to pick it up. Bonus! They call it “Night of a 1,000 Clean Plates,” which makes us question whether the paper employs copyeditors!
