Craving: Cambridge Pizza

There aren’t nearly enough reasons to eat pizza in Cambridge. Hunger pangs are the most obvious, but we have a variety of motives and a lineup of places for each and every purpose.

Great for a romantic date or post-Kendall movie snack, Emma’s Pizza serves up a classy pizza with fresh, off the wall ingredients, hearty salads, and yummy guacamole as an appetizer. Stop for a slice at the counter or call ahead to accommodate a group. And if a dining pal isn’t in the mood for pizza, remind them of the menu’s killer tuna melt.

When unsure of the multitude of pie choices, you can’t go wrong with The Upper Crust. Known for consistency among their citywide locations, we love the daily specials at this gourmet thin crust Harvard Square spot. Perfect for a lunch on the go, great for dinnertime takeout if you don’t want to cook.

Some of the healthiest pizza in greater Boston, longtime MP fave Veggie Planet Pizza supports a good cause - and not just the one known as your appetite. With dough made at local Haley House, it’s easy to eat here in good conscience. And while the service is occasionally slow, it’s intentional. Employ less people and pay them a decent wage is the motto, so tip well while you’re at it.
