Apparently this is old news (like, from 2005 old), but have you heard of James Lileks and his wonderful snarky commentary on Americana advertising?
Sweetie told us to check out Lileks’ The Gallery of Regrettable Food and after getting more than a good chuckle from posts like this we thought the site would be good for a much needed Thursday time suck. Lileks self-describes the site as commentary on the “poorly photographed foodstuffs and horrid recipes” of the 40s, 50s and 60s–how can that not be funny, right?
