The Monday Report: Hot Town, Summer In The City

Restaurant news is pretty quiet this week. Maybe everyone is out luxuriating on the Cape, while we sweat in our apartments that don’t have AC.

Openings:

Downtown Crossing: The owners of Lala Rokh and Bin 26, two of Beacon Hill’s finest dining destinations, are opening Bina Osteria on Washington Street. Bin 26 has repeatedly won “Boston’s Best Wine List”, so expect this South End destination to generate quite a buzz. [Craigslist]

Porter Square: The space previously held by Ali Baba will soon turn into Annapurna, which promises to offer “healthy mountain food” inspired by the Himalayan cuisine of Tibet, Nepal, and India. [Chowhound]
