Bruni’s blog has it that the Pope is scheduled to eat a Shake Shack burger during his NYC visit April 15 to 20. And if that doesn’t cut it, the Vatican has asked devout Catholic Lidia Bastianich to cook two special meals for him. Says Bruni:
Ms. Bastianich told me during a telephone conversation this week that she’d been asked two months ago if she’d be willing to put together two special meals for the Pope. She said yes, and then, at the request of Roman Catholic officials helping to organize his visit, kept her lips sealed until now.
We’re assuming the Popemobile won’t have trouble cutting the Shake Shack line.
