Martha Stewart Omnimedia announced that it’s bought the rights to Emeril Lagasse’s cookbooks, television shows and kitchen products (but not his restaurants or corporate offices; the man needs a little dignity) for around $50 million. The assets she’s picked up earned $14 million in 2007, so that’s a pretty hot return.
