Diner’s Agenda: City Of Sin

Diner’s Agenda is glad for the short respite from wintry mix.

Wednesday, December 12
•The only sin going down at Downtown Bistro’s 6pm Harpoon Beer dinner will be gluttony, as diners feast on dishes such as ale-simmered cassoulet and beer-braised stuffed chicken wings. Harpoon’s Ray Dobbins will be on hand to answer questions about the brews. All this can be yours for a relatively meager $49.95, so call (781) 593-3111 to get in on the fun. [Downtown Bistro & Wine Bar]

Thursday, December 13
•The Lynn theme continues with a lunch at The Blue Room to benefit the Lynn Shelter Association. $35 gets you a three course lunch and 100% of your donation will go right to the shelter. Good food for a good cause: what could be better? Call (617) 494-9034 to reserve. [The Blue Room]
•”Children’s Zebra Tea” is possibly the most adorable combination of words we’ve heard all day. We have no doubt that the event itself will be even cuter. There are sandwiches with the crust off and hot cocoa with marshmallows and we realize this is intended for children, but it sure sounds like exactly what we want right now. Tea runs from 3pm-5pm on Thursday and Friday at UpStairs on the Square and costs $14 for little ones and $25 for grownups. Call (617) 864-1933 to save your spot. [UpStairs on the Square]
