Fun fact: The state of Pennsylvania does not trust you enough to buy milk that is labeled as growth-hormone free. You see, they think that if you see that label, you might think that milk that contains hormones might be (gasp) unhealthy. Imagine that!
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is banning all such labeling after January 1, 2008.
Of course, the fact that the head of the Department of Agriculture has a 600-acre dairy farm and helped found trade group Center for Dairy Excellence… that would have nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.
