The Inside Scoop is sort of scraping the barrel this week, but did include one little gem about an auction of stuff from A. Sabella’s, which closed Sunday. Bittersweet.
Finally, we were very interested to see canned clam chowder–a winter staple for SF Menupages–as the subject for the taste test. First prize went to Cambell’s condensed, which surprised us, because, frankly, condensed chowder grosses us right out. We always go for Cambell’s Select, which claimed fourth out of five with the Chron’s panel.
