Anyway, we just noticed that Mama Desta’s Red Sea, the Ethiopian stalwart, has its wines prices by the glass ($5), half liter ($9.75), and liter ($19.50). How weird is that? Especially given that most wine comes in 750ml bottles. Clearly, the best buy is a liter of tej (a.k.a. honey wine) for just under $20. Get you snookered, that will!
