Diner’s Agenda: Lagers & Berries

Diner’s Agenda loves strawberry season.

Friday, June 15
•Drink up all weekend at the American Beer Fest, which will be taking place in the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama tonight and tomorrow. Tonight is being referred to as “Night of the Lagers”, which is one of the more promising names we’ve heard in a while. Things get underway at 6:00 and tickets may be purchased online. •Fine wine and fine art mingle at Bravo tonight as the restaurant hosts Greg La Follette of Tandem Wineries. $95 gets you a dinner that includes not one but two different types of lamb. Call (617) 369-3474 to save your seat. [Boston Chefs]

Saturday, June 16
•From when we used to stage elaborate soirees for our teddy bears to college, where tea was a Friday afternoon fixture, we’ve always been suckers for a good tea party. There looks to be a great one at 2:30 at UpStairs on the Square, where Tracy Stern and Christie Matheson will be discussing their new book, Tea Party: 20 Themed Tea Parties with Recipes for Every Occasion, from Fabulous Showers to Intimate Gatherings. The tea costs $28 and you may reserve by calling (617) 864-1933 for reservations. [UpStairs on the Square]

Sunday, June 16
•You know what is an excellent activity for fathers, sons, daughters or all three? Strawberry picking! Get on down to Drumlin Farm between 10:30am-3pm today where $5 gets you access to the farm with all the strawberry picking, hayrides, and shortcake contained within. [Boston Magazine]
