Good news for clownaphobes everywhere: Myth owner Tom Duffy has bought Clown Alley, the Columbus Street burger joint with the seizure-inducingaesthetics. An astute Yelper has the lowdown:
This place is still Clown Alley for another week or two until Myth comes in and remodels. The new owners will shut it down for a short time, then hopefully reopen with better quality food. Myth has put up the sign Pickles, but the place is still full of clowns and undercooked burgers. The surly staff informed me that it will stay a burger joint.Great location, hope they get rid of the creepy ass clowns. Who likes clowns beside psychopathic child molesters?
Rumor has it that the menu won’t get a full overhaul, but will become a bit more gourmet. Look for fancy burgers and maybe even some Chicago-style hot dogs later in the summer. But for now, all you nostalgic folks should get one last look at the clown decor, because who knows when we’ll see something else like Clown Alley.
