With the help of our favorite informant, let’s take a look at the closings/failures around town:
• Over in the Haight, Le Metro is done and will reportedly turn into a Nepalese restaurant.
• Bistro 1689 gave it a go in Noe Valley, but the short-lived modern bistro succumbed in the end. Should’ve came up with a more creative name.
• The Huntington Hotel’s Big 4 Restaurant will close temporarily (hopefully–we’ve heard the “temporary” tag before). The plan is stay shuttered throughout the month of July and hope to reopen come the first of August.
• Pizza My Heart got its heart broken a while ago (After all, why would you go there when you could go to Pizza Orgasmica?), but the good news is that it will soon be replaced by the ever-intriguing Laiola. More to come on Laiola soon.
