We may not do reviews at MenuPages, but our legions of users are all over that. Here are two passionate reviews from self-described “huge fans”:
One type of review that we frequently receive is from ardent partisans, declaring their undying support and love of their favorite restaurant, waxing poetic not just about a single meal, but of years of steady, joyful patronage. The following two “huge fan” reviews are representative.

Ok this is the best place on Taylor Street. Has fresh sandwiches, deli meats and chesse, olives, pasta, potatoe goodness, and so may other great this. If it is Italian then they have it. And there is frozen section with all this homemade food frozen ready to be taken home. There is wine, and a lot of it. There is some great 4 dollar wine that is amazing. There is also some really classy wine as well. They really know what they are talking about so ask lots of questions. They know me and will sugest something that I may like. They even sell basil plants in the summer and they will take the leaves off and sell you a bag of basil. There is fresh coffee, soda, and chips so you can go in and have lunch if you like. There is great chocolates too. The cops are always in there so it is super safe.
This might be a shill, but it is at least heartfelt. We like it when restaurants take us seriously about our spice level requests. It’s a small gesture, but it means a lot…enough, even, to make us HUGE FANS.

Since moving to Chicago 2 months ago my friends and I have been searching for good, spicy thai food and have been disappointed again and again (tried about 6 different restaurants in different neighborhoods)…til we went to Bamee Noodle Shop on Broadway in Lakeview - we were so happy we almost cried (could have been the spice too - haha) and I have gone there at least twice a week since thanks to the spicyness of the food that when requested is actually spicy, authentic taste, very reasonable cost and good atmosphere (nice patio in summer)! I’m a HUGE FAN and would highly recommend it if you’re looking for good and spicy thai - the spicy noodles (khee mao) and bamee deluxe are great!
