Aware That You’re Hungry? Go Out To Dinner And Do Something About It

June is, among other things, Hunger Awareness Month, and furthermore, tomorrow is Hunger Awareness Day (one can only speculate about the exact placement of the elusive Hunger Awareness Second). In addition to donating food, money or time to your local food bank, take note that from today through Wednesday, upwards of 5% of your dining tab at participating Chicagoland restaurants will be passed along to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. We recommend going somewhere expensive, so that 1/20th of your check won’t be an embarrassingly trivial figure - maybe Blackbird or Le Titi de Paris. Don’t try to write it off on your taxes, though; that would be exploitative and petty.
