In a recent feature in Advertising Age, a Starbucks spokesman defended Starbucks charging for internet access. The idea is that “some establishments may choose to provide free wireless access, but we believe the T-Mobile HotSpot service provides a much more rewarding experience by offering internet access in the comfort of Starbucks coffeehouses in far more locations.” At the same time, however, Philadelphia has plenty of places to go for free WiFi. By using our Filter by Feature search (available whenever you look up restaurants in areas or neighborhoods at MenuPages Philadelphia), we found over 25 places with free WiFi in Center City alone.
