A few weeks back, we wrote a little something about Original Rainbow Cone, the ice cream institution in Beverly. One of the lingering questions we had was about their Palmer House flavor, which is New York vanilla with cherries and walnuts. The question - what’s with the name? - is still unresolved, but here’s a picture of all the original flavors. It looks…less than appealing? Maybe it’s the lighting. Incidentally, we believe the Palmer House is sandwiched in between the orange and the pistachio, and the whole package should run $3.50.
