A Good Week For You, But Not So Much Your Liver

This is an eventful week for alcohol lovers connoisseurs. So much so that it deserved its post.

A duo of fancy tasting events are sure to satiate your liquor palates. On Thursday (April 12th), The Palace Hotel (Montgomery at Market) hosts the Wines of Portugal. And from the looks of it, we’re pretty sure that literally every wine from Portugal will be there. More than 50 Portuguese vineyards will be sharing over 400 different wines. According to Novus Vinum, Port and Dourom will be featured wines. Public tasting is complimentary during the day, but a donation to Share Our Strength is encouraged for the evening activities. Reservations can be made by dropping an email to rsvpsf@wagstaffworldwide.com or via 800-871-9012, extension 24552.

Then, on Saturday the 14th, head back to The Palace Hotel for the eighth annual Whiskies of the World Expo and for what has been dubbed “North America’s Largest Whiskey Celebration.” The expo will have it all: rare malts and bourbons, buffet supper, culinary demonstrations and even a Scottish band. Tickets are $115. Call 888-748-2400 or visit the website for all the info.
