Barclay Prime and their beloved, publicity-riffic $100 Kobe cheesesteak have some competition over in the UK. The Cliveden hotel just unveiled their £100 Von Essen Platinum club sandwich—one of the most expensive sandwiches in the world. Weighing in at more than a pound, the sandwich contains poulet de Bresse chicken imported from France, Iberico ham, hard boiled quail’s egg, semi-dried Italian tomatoes, mayonnaise, salad… and £25 worth of white truffle shavings. The cost of the sandwich comes out to US$197.69 and contains approximately 1182 calories and 1.8 oz. of fat.
