There’s a wild rumor floating around Chowhound that the owners of much-beloved Eastie pizzeria Santarpio’s are planning to open an “upscale” joint in the spot on Porter Street formerly occupied by Sablone’s. Although we’d hate to see Santarpio’s stray from its delicious sausage and greasy pizza roots, it would be interesting to see what they could do with a menu of more than three items. Here’s hoping that “upscale” doesn’t just mean “out of our budget”.
