This week’s juiciest bit of celeb-sighting gossip was, of course, the Post’s report that after a performer dumped a drink on Demi and Ashton, Box honcho Simon Hammerstein sent an e-mail to his partner and a GM saying, “I can’t stand those two” — apparently because they’re “so far up their own arses” and “don’t spend anything” — “and I applaud whoever spilt a drink on them.” We’re thinking Kid Rock got kinder treatment when he went to Southern Hospitality, or there would’ve been a Tommy Lee–style throwdown.

As the go-to party spinner for the likes of Jay-Z, Diddy, and Russell Simmons, DJ Cassidy, who recently cut tracks with J-Lo and Jessica Simpson, has seen some lavish food spreads in his 25 years. For instance, the time he was flown to Naomi Campbell’s birthday bash in Dubai. “It was in the middle of the Arabian dessert,” he remembers. “It was a never-ending buffet with the most amazing stations — every kind of meat being carved for you, every dessert you could think of, every kind of seafood at the raw bar. I don’t like to work with a heavy stomach, but I couldn’t resist. I stuffed my face.” We asked him what he caved into this week.

Lyn Devon designed for Ralph Lauren and Zac Posen before starting her own house out of the basement of her Broome Street apartment in 2005, dressing Sarah Jessica Parker and Julia Stiles. Normally she’d be dining out with friends (her fridge holds little more than hummus, ice cream, and beer), but during Fashion Week, twelve-hour workdays rule out anything beyond the occasional late-night decompression session at the local dive bar. Besides “constant coffee and water,” we wondered what else fueled her as she prepared for her show yesterday morning.
