The children of Cafe Gratitude founders Terces and Matthew Engelhart are taking the Gracias Madre brand down south as well.
"Gracias Madre" features heirloom corn tortillas, cashew-nut cheese, and other things that fly in the face of taco truck cuisine.
"It's a tricky thing, the pre-striptease-show meal."
They're aiming for an early fall opening.
They'll be adding dinner at the new location.
The Berkeley location is safe, as is Gracias Madre.
The Source is the subject of a new documentary showing it as an early forerunner of Cafe Gratitude.
