It’s an Especially Edible Easter This YearMuch as we enjoy Peeps (who doesn’t?), New York is a mighty big town, and there’s plenty of room for other, better Easter treats. Submitted for your approval, then: a slideshow of some of the best the city has to offer, from the likes of Jacques Torres, Bouchon Bakery, and One Girl Cookies.

LeBron James and Anna Wintour Cozy Up at Waverly; Moby Makes Out at R BarWe weren’t surprised to read in “Page Six” today that Anna Wintour dined with LeBron James at the Waverly Inn. We passed their table on Tuesday, and when the ceilings are that low, it’s impossible to miss a six-foot-eight baller extracting himself from the center of a corner booth. James was patiently sitting next to the bathroom when we emerged, causing our waiter to remark, “You made LeBron James wait!” We couldn’t tell whether he was chastising us or congratulating us for no doubt costing the man a Benjamin of his time, but either way we felt a sense of accomplishment unknown since Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand queued up behind us at the Spotted Pig. The rest of this week’s sightings are heavy on the PDA.

Sandwiches of the Week: In Celebration of National Peanut MonthNational Peanut Month — like National Baked Bean Month (July) and National Accordion Awareness Month (June) — comes but once a year, and that means celebrating, Peter Pan salmonella outbreak notwithstanding. Our top five nut-butter sandwiches, below.
1. The Elvis at Peanut Butter & Co.
Excellent peanut butter, honey, sliced banana, and optional (but recommended) bacon on white toast. Historical culinary note: In what might be the most famous case of the munchies, Elvis flew from Memphis to Denver on his private jet just to sample the progenitor of this fine sandwich, which was a loaf of Italian bread sliced lengthwise, a jar of Jif, a jar of jelly, and a pound of bacon. It was meant for sharing, but Elvis wolfed one down all by himself. 240 Sullivan St., nr. W. 3rd St.; 212-677-3995.

Pork and Chocolate: Two Great Tastes …They used to say that you could divide the world into Paul McCartney people and John Lennon people. But you could as easily say that the great divide is between sweet and savory fetishists, the sweet tooth versus the meat tooth. Such is the conceit of Rob and Robin’s double-barreled Gift Finder feature this week. For one group, they suggest a bouquet of gorgeous pork products, ranging from Flying Pigs Farm slab bacon to Salumeria Biellese soppressata; and for the other, a nosegay of chocolates from some of the city’s most high-powered confectioners, including Bouchon Bakery and Chocolat Michel Cluizel.
