It’s been nearly four years since the powers that be announced that New York City would finally get its first Wegmans, the East Coast grocery store with something of a cult following, and it would be located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Today, we got an opening date: October 27.

At a whopping 74,000 square feet, the grocery store will massive. (The Fairway in Red Hook, for comparison, is about 58,000 square feet.) Crain’s New York reports that inside shoppers will find 60,000 products, including 350 varieties of cheese, which is a weird flex, but okay. There will also be take-home meals created by chef David Bouley, a bar, and a café. Altogether, the new location will hire 500 employees, 70 percent of whom will be part-time.

So, mark your calendars. October 27. 7 a.m. Nothing will ever be the same.
