Here’s Esquire’s List of the Best Bars in America

The George Washington Bar’s Smoke and Melons.

Cheers: Esquire is back at the watering hole with its list of the best bars in the country. Like last year’s, it’s not exactly a list of places that are all brand-new or all-time essentials. There are some notable new openings on the list, including New York’s the George Washington Bar and Washington, D.C.’s Brothers and Sisters. Selected by a panel that includes food-and-drink editor Jeff Gordinier, writer Nicole Taylor, Kevin Sintumuang, and others, the 21-spot list also features Minneapolis’s Marvel Bar; Daphne, Alabama’s Manci’s Antique Club; Oakland’s Ordinaire; and Lexington, Kentucky’s Ona. It also includes Prarie School, the short-lived Jim Meehan bar that recently closed. Peep the full (unranked) list below.
