It’s that time of year: GQ’s published Brett Martin’s “10 Best New Restaurants of 2017” today. It’s unranked and in alphabetical order, and the list includes everything from high-end Nordic tasting menus (Aska) to really good Hainan chicken in a Los Angeles mall (Side Chick). For those keeping score at home, Los Angeles gets three nods to New York’s one, and the list includes several spots that crisscross cultural boundaries, like Detroit’s Flowers of Vietnam, a Southeast Asian spot run by a first-generation Palestinian-American; and Minneapolis’s Young Joni, where pizza and Korean small plates get equal billing. Check out the full list of winners below:

Aska (Brooklyn, NY)
Flowers of Vietnam (Detroit, MI)
Han Oak (Portland, OR)
Kato (Los Angeles, CA)
Kemuri Tatsu-ya (Austin, TX)
Rooster Soup Company (Philadelphia, PA)
Salazar (Los Angeles, CA)
Side Chick (Los Angeles, CA)
Tarsan i Jane (Seattle, WA)
Young Joni (Minneapolis, MN)
