Michelin has started rolling out its annual New York guide, and there’s already a big surprise. April Bloomfield’s hit Spotted Pig lost its star, the first time it won’t have one since the Michelin man came to New York in 2005. The news comes with the release of this year’s Bib Gourmand, a list that focuses on more affordable restaurants and usually includes a mix of cheap eats and budget gourmet places. Notably, ABC Kitchen, DBGB, and Untitled are among the restaurants absent from the list this year — which could mean an upgrade. Momofuku Ssäm Bar and Roberta’s, however, remain, and there are some solid additions from this year’s crop of openings including El Atoradero, Olmsted, Llama Inn, and Atoboy. Check out the full list:
