Florida Man Legally Banned From Ordering Pizza

“Hey, is your pizza oven running?”

A judge in Florida says a man pushed things a little too far by prank-calling dozens of pizzerias, and the consequences are that he’s now forfeited his right to pie delivery of any kind. Police in the city of Sebastian say a resident named Randy Riddle — no, seriously — menaced local restaurants with a variety of antics he apparently found hysterical, like placing orders for made-up addresses, sending drivers to abandoned homes, and haggling about prices he didn’t plan to pay anyway. The calls led to charges of several counts of harassment and petty theft, and as a condition for release on bail, the judge ordered that Riddle “shall refrain from calling any pizza establishment and/or making any harassing calls, or his bond shall be revoked.”

According to TCPalm, Riddle had an advanced setup in place, calling from five different phone numbers and often leaving fake names (smart money’s on “Hugh Jass” and “Haywood Jablowmy”). Investigators say the eateries lost at least $667 as a result of his fake orders over a three-week period, and that Riddle’s pranks were so juvenile, he’d even ring up the businesses “just to tell them their pizza was gross.”
