Today is the 11th of July, which means two things: You’ve had a full week to recover from all of those festive red, white, and blue frozen daiquiris, and, as your luck would have it, it’s officially Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven. Anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. (see what they did there?), you can stroll in, grab a cup, and fill it up with your preferred flavor. Per usual, it’s the small size only, but this year 7-Eleven is upping the freebie game to commemorate its classic frozen drink turning the big 5-0. An obligatory birthday-cake flavor has been unveiled for the occasion, and for people who don’t know when to quit, there’s the possibility of acquiring 11 additional free Slurpees if you buy seven at full price this week. Be advised, though, that this naturally requires downloading the 7-Eleven app, joining something called the 7Rewards Program, and suffering through however many brain freezes come along with consuming seven Slurpees.
