Paris Hosts First-Ever Refugee Food Festival

The chef owned two restaurants in Syria.

Of the thousands of people to whom France has recently granted asylum, many are trained chefs, and two entrepreneurs are working to bring them into Parisian kitchens through a program called Les Cuistots Migrateurs. Not only is the initiative helping to change how the French perceive immigrants, but it’s also exposing the population to new cuisines. The Times has the scoop:
