Something to keep in mind at the liquor store: Last night, at the American Distilling Institute’s awards show for craft spirits, Kings County Distillery won Distillery of the Year. (Full disclosure: The company is co-owned by an editor at New York Magazine.) This is actually the third major award for Kings County this month alone. The peated bourbon recently won the Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and the straight bourbon whiskey won Best in: Whiskey at the American Craft Spirit Awards. Congrats!
