The James Beard Foundation held its annual media awards Tuesday night, handing out medallions to winners in the book, broadcast, and journalism categories. Zahav: A World of Israeli Cooking was named cookbook of the year; Netflix’s Chef’s Table, PBS’s I’ll Have What Phil’s Having, and Cooking Channel’s Extra Virgin were among the shows to take home awards; while Francis Lam, Tejal Rao, and Helen Rosner all grabbed journalism awards. Congrats to all of the winners.
