Someone Finally Combined IPA and Cold Brew to Make the Ultimate Breakfast Drink

A new way to get your caffeine.
A new way to get your caffeine.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have your hair of the dog while getting your morning jolt of caffeine? Oregon brewery Rogue Ales & Spirits, known for its excellent beers as well as collaborations with the likes of Portland’s Vodoo Doughnuts and, uh, sriracha, apparently thinks so, too. The company is blending its Rogue IPA, made with hops from its own farm, with Stumptown’s popular cold brew. In other words, it sounds like a pretty killer brunch cocktail and one that bartenders, ahem, should’ve thought of a long time ago. The beer will debut in April, when it will become available on draft and in 22-ounce bottles, because you need that extra caffeine, anyway.
