Fresh off a significant New York expansion, Washington, D.C.–based Sweetgreen has announced that it’s moving its headquarters to Los Angeles, home of the luxurious, locally sourced salad. This clearly sets the stage for the nine-year-old company’s growth, on a large scale, and co-founder and co-CEO Nicolas Jammet told Nation’s Restaurant News, "We want to be a national brand. California is a really important part of our success in becoming a national brand." Three Sweetgreen locations have recently opened in L.A., and one in Berkeley is scheduled next. Expect a whole lot more.
