Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Times Square is a tourist trap, of course, but the Post has reported on how big that trap has actually grown: Olive Garden’s buffet dinner costs $400 per head (and offers only a “limited view” of the ball drop), and its neighbors are charging even more money — $799 at Bubba Gump Shrimp, $499 at the Counter, $999 at Buca di Beppo, and $349 to a whopping $1,699 at Ruby Tuesday. Yikes. Here are a few alternative parties — and remember that many restaurants are business as usual, come Thursday.
