Introducing the ‘Grub Street Podcast’

When reading Grub Street, do you ever find yourself thinking, These observations on food and restaurants are nice, but I would much rather hear them than have to look at them with my eyes? You, friend, are in luck: As of today, the “Grub Street Podcast” is live, and you can listen to the very first episode right now. In it, you will hear Grub’s own Alan Sytsma chat with New York restaurant critic Adam Platt about the food world’s most important issues. In the case of the debut, the topic at hand is pizza, specifically its place atop New York City’s list of iconic foods. Make it all the way to the end and you will hear Platt’s impression of an ancient Italian pizza master, which is probably reason enough to listen and subscribe.

So, tune in to the “Grub Street Podcast,” produced by the Slate Group’s Panoply, on iTunes, Stitcher, or SoundCloud. And by all means let us know if there’s anything you’d like to hear.
