To celebrate 65 years of serving cheesecake that’s, well, just average, Junior’s will sell slices of the dessert for just 65 cents tomorrow. The deal will only be available at the restaurant’s original location on Flatbush Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn, so that’s the place to be if you plan on feasting or stocking up on the dense confection. It wasn’t that long ago, you’ll remember, that the future of Junior’s first restaurant was uncertain — that is, until third-generation owner Alan Rosen rejected a development deal last September — so perhaps this is his way of saying, “we’re here to say.” Or maybe he’s just trying to apologize for making all his cheesecakes in New Jersey.
