Today is the day that the U.N. devotes every year to international peace — in other words, the perfect time to talk about fast-food hamburgers. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., 1,500 of the official “Peace Day Burgers”— a hybrid of the Whopper, Denny’s Bacon Slamburger, Wayback’s Wayback Classic, Krystal’s Cheese Krystal, and Giraffas’s Brutus that combines “a key ingredient” from each place’s signature sandwich — will be passed out at the one-day-only Atlanta pop-up. It ended up being in a parking lot awkwardly shared by both Burger King and McDonald’s (maybe this made more sense initially). If Denny’s Periscope video is any indication, it seems to be a hit.
