Michael Laiskonis is one of the O.G. pastry greats: He worked for eight years at Le Bernardin — where he won countless awards, including one from the James Beard Foundation — and he’s most recently served as the creative director of New York City’s Institute of Culinary Education. Now Laiskonis is joining the Garces Group, overseeing the dessert programs for Jose Garces’s 19 restaurants across the country.
