The second-annual (RED) fund-raising culinary campaign launches on June 1, with the goal of raising awareness and funds to fight AIDS on an international scale. Ticketed events and promotions will take place all throughout June (featuring chefs like Mario Batali, April Bloomfield, and Enrique Olvera), but it’s easy to give back without even making a commitment: Participating restaurants around the world have pledged to donate to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, and, in New York, the group includes Del Posto, the Meatball Shop, Dominique Ansel Bakery, Narcissa, Alder, and Lafayette. As a result, simply dining at any of the participating spots supports the effort. Easy, right?
